Slot machine revenue was up in nine of the 12 months during the most recent fiscal year totaling $2,378,859,341 or $26.5 million higher than the $2,352,320,937 generated during the 2017/2018 fiscal year. Tax revenue produced by slot machine play during the 2018/2019 fiscal year totaled $1,237,085,077.

Tax revenue figures reflect amounts generated prior to any adjustments by the PA Department of Revenue. The tax figures for FY 2017/2018 were affected by legal changes regarding the Local Share Assessment and by Act 42 of 2017.
PGCB noted that these figures reflect only slot machine revenue and not total gaming revenue that includes table games. PGCB will provide those figures later this month when it publishes its June 2019 and fiscal year 2018/2019 revenue report for table games.
To date, since the opening of the first casino in November of 2006, revenue from slot machine play has totaled $27 billion, resulting in tax generation of $14.5 billion.

Parx Casino continues to reign as king of the Commonwealth. Their gross revenue from slot machines was $416,890,976, a 4.03% bump from the previous fiscal year. Wind Creek Bethlehem (formerly Sands), finished a distant second with $295,726,499.
Valley Forge Casino saw the biggest percentage change (11.96%) compared to the previous fiscal year. In Jan. 2019, Valley Forge Casino Resort 250 new slot machines were added to the expanded and renovated gaming floor. In Nov. 2017, Valley Forge Casinopaid the state $1 million to remove the amenity fee provision. The provision required all casino players to either be guests at the hotel or pay a fee to use the property’s amenities.
